I am natural light photographer whose favorite subjects are people. The majority of my experience is with families, children, infants, newborns and mothers-to-be.
I have always been a picture taker. My history is littered with photography courses and I am married to wonderfully skilled man whose Art School degree has served me well as I have had my own in-house teacher of sorts. Still, until several years ago, much of my past was spent focusing on documenting the moments of my life and of those around me. However, it was after the birth of my first child that my photography took a turn and I began my transition from "picture taker" to "photographer".
Now, we have two very precious daughters who serve as wonderful subjects for me. However, a two and a half year old and seven month old can smile and listen to the shutter of a camera only so much before they rebel. So, after much thought and encouragement, I decided to take the leap into sharing my enthusiasm for capturing the sparkle and spirit of others by offering my services for hire.
And so began Sweetie Pie Photography, where my emphasis is photographing families, children, and infants.
